At the heart of IIM Kashipur’s commitment to transformative education and innovation lies Navaashay – नवाशय, the Design Innovation Centre (DIC) established in 2018 under the National Initiative for Design Innovation, a flagship scheme of the Ministry of Education, Government of India. Recognized as a Centre of Excellence, Navaashay is more than a physical space—it is a living ecosystem of creativity, collaboration, and purpose.

Anchored in a Hub-and-Spoke model, the Centre operates in synergy with:

• Hub: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
• Spoke: Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (IIM Kashipur)
• Spoke: National Institute of Technology Uttarakhand (NITUK)
• Spoke: G.B. Pant University of Agriculture & Technology (GBPUA&T)

Together, these institutions form a dynamic network that nurtures design-led research, multidisciplinary training, and consultancy, serving students, government bodies, and organizations with solutions that are as thoughtful as they are impactful.
